This is PART 4 of a road trip that started in southern England, went through Wales, and where we looped around to the central region where we enjoyed an evening in the Peak District. If you’d like to see the previous parts see PART 1 here, PART 2, and PART 3.

We woke up from the magical lands of Snowdonia where we witnessed more normal British weather. The drizzly rain greeted us politely as we packed up the car, checked out, and made out way to get some breakfast sandwiches across the street before hittin’ the road for the Peak District. We were both incredibly sad to be leaving Wales and both agreed the short 3 days we spent exploring the majestic land just wasn’t enough. I remember promising each other that wouldn’t be our last visit there.

After a few hours drive, we made it to the Peak District of middle England and were greeted with some pretty fantastic views. The town we were headed to was a little village called Castleton and it was as beautiful as it sounds.

We stayed in a little hotel called the Peak Hotel and they gave us the room with the gignatic window that faced the front of the building on the 2nd floor where the actual peaked roof covers. It was a beautiful room and the downstairs was an old fashioned English pub serving all the greats. It didn’t take long to unpack and feel at home.

After getting our bags in our room, freshening up, and getting my gear ready, we decided to take a little walk together before dinner and explore Castleton. I remember seeing photos from fellow photographers and travelers on facebook I’m friends with and the charm of this place was something I needed to see for myself. I’ll just let the photos do the talking from here on out ā¤

We ended up following a trail that took us across a farmer’s field to some hills that outline the city. We were able to snag some pretty good views from up there šŸ™‚

This part concluded our little road trip through the British Isles. It went by too fast, just as any trip ever seems to, and made us even hungrier to explore more of it someday. If you want to read the previous parts to the trip, as I mentioned before, feel free to check out more of our travels through the New Forest and Cheddar Gorge in PART 1, Southern Wales in the Brecon Becons in PART 2, and Snowdonia in Northern Wales in PART 3.
